Looking for decent Mexican food at all hours? Look no further. El Huero does the trick. First of all is their excellent customer service. Very welcoming and upbeat. They have great hard-shell tacos with nicely seasoned shredded beef. The homemade style refried beans are excellent. No canned refried beans here. Burritos? Forget about it. They are generously sized and outstanding. Especially if you like a good chili relleno burrito with beans any meat you like, pico de gallo, onion and cilantro and good heat, but not overwhelmingly spicy. That would be their "Mix-up burrito". The asada burrito is fantastic as well. But the star of the show just might be the simple bean and cheese burrito. One of the best i've had and i have had many a bean and cheese burrito from everywhere! The taquitos w/ guac are also very good. Don't pass up on this place. It will save your life at 2:30 or 3:00 in morning when you just got to have your Mexican food fix with a good ambience. Enjoy cabrones!

Good Street Food! My friend recommended the hard shell tacos. I got hard shell taco meal that came with beans & rice. And a Hibiscus drink. I got chicken. It was pretty good. I had few little pieces of over cooked chicken. But over all good.

Very clean, good portions, very good meats and good priced TACOS.!!! At the corner of Colima and Fairway in Rowland Heights. Next to Stater Brothers.

Machaca breakfast burrito hits the spot every time! Their red salsa has just the right amount of spice. They're quick too which helps when you're on a hurry to get to work.

This day, February 25 at about 4pm, the cooks, preparer and service were Excellent! I've been going here for years. Mostly the food is Delicious like today. However, sometimes, something is just off for whatever reasons. I keep giving them a chance about once a month. Hope whatever made everything so great today, will be the usual everyday! Thank you El Huero crew for the Delicious, Excellent experience! The look is nostalgic. It has been looking the same for decades and kept well maintained and clean.

Great 24hour option for Mexican food by USC or DOWNTOWN LA. Use to be Chano's years ago. Might be a tad better nowadays. Quite often, I get the Signature Burrito with carne asada, al pastor or sometimes chicken. But you can build your burrito here too. Seems like a pretty solid choice at Midnight or 3am since they are open 24 hours. Beef Tacos were pretty good also. They have many vegetarian options on the menu as well. Small parking lot if you want to park and eat at the few tables but the drive thru is my go to. Grab and go is how I roll from here.

El Huero is never a let down. I only wish they weren't so stingy with the red sauce.

I've been going to El Huero since 2002, when it was Chano's! I was first shown this USC tradition and Staple, by my Uncle, who went to USC. Coming from the Bay Area and the Central Coast, we weren't used to HOMEMADE Tortillas! Every SC game, required a trip to Chano's/El Huero's. The Chorizo Burrito's with Orange Bang were the order, always! Even traveled from Nipomo, CA to El Huero's and back, all for it! This is the hole in the hole in the wall, you search out! This trip, we pulled up to the menu and were greeted nicely. I ordered the Pollo Soft Taco, Orange Bang, and Pollo Burrito, with Rice, Cheese, Guacamole, and Sour Cream. The homemade tortillas were great. Soft, slight grit, fluffy, blanket of love. The Guacamole was slightly tangy/spicy, adding that fatty/acid to cut through the salty, peppery, juicy, grilled chicken. The rice was fluffy and cooked nice with good flavor. All finished by the beautiful taste of a Creamsicle, coming from the Orange Bang! *The chicken quality didn't seem as high as it used to be. It was a little dry and overcooked. That's why 4/5* Pro Tip: The Drive Thru window is on the passenger side, prepare for it haha
